Matt, truth is sometimes stranger than fiction.  I walked point about every third day for nearly ten months.   Like many vetsw I couldn't verbalize what happened in Vietnam, the words would get stuck in my throat and I felt like I was in danger of being overwhelmed.  Finally, my wife, who has stuck with me all these years, asked if I could write down some the my stories for my son and her.

It was like a dam had broken, words I couldn't speak flowed out on paper as fresh as they were when I tried to bury them after ooming home.  All the emotions I can't conciously feel, the anger, frustrations, guilt, helplessness and depression where there.

If you are interested, she had then published under the title, "Not Enough Tears" because we didn't have to grieve, the war kept going and so did we, then there were no tears when we got home because Vietnam had become a national embbarrassment and no one wanted to here what really happened.

Barn's & Noble, or Amazon book websites carry it under my name, Dave Wright and the publisher, Authorhouse, will print it for you also.  Lessons from Vietnam were hard earned - I hope they will stay with you until needed in your future.
