Background of Carl Bumgarner

I served in VietNam with the 5th.Inf. Div.(mech). I was a buck sgt. and a graduate of NCOC(non-commisioned officers candidate school). I was a tracK commander and manned a 50cal. machine gun.I was wounded near Quan Tri (DMZ) on Aug.12 1968 and sent home. Just this last June, I had to have my right knee totally replaced,a direct result of my gunshot wound of over 32 years ago.So, as you can see some of us can never forget because we carry the scars both on our bodies and in our hearts and minds.
