I served with A 1/7, 1st Cavalry Airmobile from the beginning of June 1970 until sometime in November 1970.
For the first few months I was a gun squad grunt out in the jungle, first in Cambodia until the end of June and then in Tay Ninh province in western Vietnam. I was the company clerk for the last part of this time with A 1/7. After that I went to the S3 Air operations desk at HHC 1st Bde 1st Cavalry in Bien Hoa.
In April 1971 my unit was disbanded and I returned to the states to ETS.
