My full name is Robert Arthur Davis, born Watertown New York ,10-7-48.

I enlisted in the Navy in June 1966. In March 1967 I was assigned to Assault Craft Division 13, in Coronado Calif. In July 1967 I made my first tour to Nam , I was onboard LCU 1615, making river transits at both of the Cau Viet, and the Perfume Rivers. During Tet of 68, we were invovled in resupplying Hue' City, as well as evacuating the wounded, and the dead.

I returned to the states in March of 68, and I went to Assault Boat Coxswain school at Coronado. I then returned to Nam in May of 68 doin the same thing I had done on the first tour. I drove the "mike 8", #812, and was assigned to TanMy, making daily runs to Hue' City. I had a 10,000 gal. rubber bladder in my boat , and carried jp-4, and avgas. I was then sent up to Cau Viet, and carried supplies down river to Dong Ha, until I returned to the states in Dec.68. My MOS was BM3, and was discharged in Sept. 69.
